Which paper mills and brands do you stock?
Stock is drawn from Indian and imported mills including JK Paper, Century, Trident, PaperOne, APP, APRIL, Cosmo, Nevia, Ningbo, Golden Coin and Hi-Cote, with Avery Dennison for self-adhesive materials. Availability of any specific grade varies by consignment, so confirm current stock by phone before planning a run.

What is the difference between paper and board?
Grammage, and what the sheet is then able to do. Below roughly 200 gsm a sheet behaves as paper — it folds, feeds and prints as a flexible sheet. Above it the sheet becomes board: rigid enough to hold a crease, carry a carton and stand on a shelf. The same material family often spans both, which is why art paper and art card are described separately here.
How do I choose the right gsm?
Work backwards from the job rather than from the number. Grammage follows the size of the piece, the weight it has to carry and how it will be finished — a small carton and a large one in the same board will not use the same gsm. Give us the application, dimensions and finishing method and we will suggest a grammage rather than have you guess.

Do you export paper and board from India?
Yes — Sigma Enterprises is IEC-registered and equipped to export from New Delhi, and can supply buyers in Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, the UAE and Europe. Enquiries from other markets are welcome too; it is a question of freight cost and transit, not permission. Send the grade, grammage, size, quantity and destination and we will quote against it.
Which countries can you export paper to?
Nepal and Bhutan are landlocked and served overland from northern India, which makes them the shortest and cheapest lanes. Bangladesh works either overland or by sea through Chittagong. Sri Lanka and the Maldives go by sea, as do the United Arab Emirates and Europe — Europe being the longest transit and best suited to full-container orders planned ahead. Other markets on enquiry.
What is an IEC and why does it matter?
The Importer Exporter Code is the registration issued by India's Directorate General of Foreign Trade that a business must hold to export legally from India. Sigma Enterprises holds one. For a buyer it is the baseline check that a supplier is able to ship across a border rather than only trade domestically.

Do you handle the export documentation?
Yes, documentation is prepared in-house — commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the associated shipping paperwork. First-time importers often find this the difficult part of buying from India, so tell us the destination and the terms you need and we will prepare the set accordingly.
What information should an export enquiry include?
Five things let us quote accurately: the grade, the grammage in gsm, the sheet size or reel width, the quantity, and the destination port or border crossing. Add your preferred incoterms — FOB, CIF or ex-works — and whether you need any specific certification. Enquiries missing quantity and destination cannot be priced meaningfully.
What is the HS code for paper exported from India?
It depends on the grade. Uncoated printing and writing paper generally falls under heading 4802, uncoated kraft under 4804, coated papers and boards including art card and duplex under 4810, and self-adhesive stock under 4811. Synthetic paper is a plastic film and sits in Chapter 39, not Chapter 48 at all. The exact eight-digit ITC-HS code should be confirmed per grade before filing.
